ELI KRISTIN HANSSVEEN
As a child she wanted to be the best dancer in the world! She didn’t go that far, but brought home Norwegian Championships in Swing and Dirty Dancing in 1989 and 1990. She had reached the age of sixteen, and started to pursue the long lasting dream of becoming an artist. At the same time she got into acting

Soprano at The Norwegian Opera House

Her opera debut was in 2002 at The Norwegian Opera House, where she amazed critics as the can can-dancing Valencienne in «Die lustige Witwe». The same year she sang the part of Solveig in «Peer Gynt» and performed with Misha Alperin's Moscow Art Trio.

Since then Eli Kristin Hanssveen has been engaged within the art of opera. She made a successful debut in Sweden, as Blondchen in «Die Entführung aus dem Serail» (Mozart) at Läckö slottsopera (2003). At The Norwegian Opera House several parts. Amongst them: Magdalene in the globale première of «Barabbas» by Ketil Hvoslef (DNO 2004), Marguerite in the global première of «Faust» as a metal opera (Kristiansund Opera, 2005) and Adele in «Die Fledermaus» (DNO, 2006 - 2007)

She has performed in musicals, and is frequently used as a jazz soloist. In between, she developes her talents through master classes and well reputated professors. At the moment she studies with professor Trish McCaffrey in USA. Eli Kristin has a master degree from The Norwegian State Academy of Music. She has been an actress at regional and national theatres. She can perform within pop/soul/folk music and had until recently her own pop band - playing her music.

She started to work seriously with impro-pianist/composer Misha Alperin in 1999, and in 2000 the cooperation lead to an exiting merge between herself and “Moscow Art Trio”. They held concerts in St.Petersburg and Moscow. It was successful and in 2001 they played throughout Europe. Both the audience and the critics were impressed, stunned and curious: «Because of Eli Kristin´s all round-background, wide range of skills and stage presence, she is an extraordinary match to “Misha Alperin's Moscow Art Trio”!» (Frankfurter Allgemeine). She participates on the trio’s album: «Once Upon a Time».

Albums: 1992 «Husker du?» («Do you remember?»), 1993 solo debut «Som en bekk blir til en elv» («As a brook becomes a stream»), 1995 solo «Slik som du» («Just like you»), 1998 «Vals i Valparaiso» («Waltz in Valparaiso»), 1999 solo single «Eat U Up» and 2000 solo single «When love comes around». 2002 «Once Upon a Time». Participation on several albums in Europe and USA, amongst them the heavy rock band TNT and «Dance Unique» for latin dancers.
